New Features

It is now possible to configure custom strut sizes. In the "System" menu, make sure "Show Strut Scales" is enabled. The length panel in the lower right corner will show the current unit length (in terms of multiples of the base length for that orbit, e.g "b0" for the blue orbit), and the current actual length due to scaling up or down with the slider. If you hit the "custom" button, you will get a small dialog that lets you enter a desired custom value for the unit length (the point labeled "unit" on the slider). The scale up/down buttons will scale as usual, but now based on the custom unit. Any of the "b0", etc. buttons on the right side will restore the standard unit, as well as some scale factor.

The length panel will "show strut scales" automatically when the "build with this" contextual menu command is used, to clarify the fact that the unit length may have changed. "Build with this" is simply a quick and easy alternative to the "custom" unit length dialog mentioned above.

The length panel has also had some refinements in the layout of the user interface, just so it looks a bit better.

"Used in model" orbit set - if you "show directions graphically", the build orbit panel shows a triangle with colored dots representing strut orbits. Right-clicking on that area shows a contextual menu that lets you select different subsets of all possible orbits. One option in that menu now offers "used in model", so the triangle will show exactly those strut orbits that are visible in the model at the moment. This is very useful if you are projecting 4D polytopes, or joining balls in unusual ways, and you want to know how many different "white" (automatic) orbits are present.

All modal dialogs (for custom length, configuring directions, configuring styles, and creating tools) now support the "escape" key as a way to cancel out of the dialog.

Known Bugs

"Show Strut Scales" menu command can get out-of-sync with the state of the length panel user interface

quaternion projections - with the removal of the hidden symmetry axis, it is no longer possible to project a 4D polytope using a quaternion rotation

arbitrary strut lengths - the new strut length panel does not yet support lengths that are not simple powers of tau

H_4 symmetry - you'll probably have trouble if you try to construct a strut between vertices generated by H_4 symmetry.

Zomod import - does anyone still care?
