New Features

Tetrahedral symmetry now supports "axis" arguments. When in the icosahedral "symmetry system", there are five possible alignments of tetrahedral symmetry. You can now optionally select a blue or yellow strut when constructing a tetrahedral symmetry tool, and the alignment of the symmetry will be such that that blue or yellow axis will be a 2-fold or 3-fold (respectively) axis of the symmetry. This makes tetrahedral symmetry much more predictable, and usable without aligning your model with the invisible coordinate axes.

Bug Fixes

Default tools could prevent model files from opening. The "last-used" symmetry tool commands introduced in b90 were problematic when recorded in the model history; although created as if from an empty selection, they appear in the history when there is a nonempty selection.

Problems with undo/redo of (de)select-all in the presence of groups. The bug could cause vZome to cycle endlessly during an undo, repeatedly selecting and deselecting the same objects. It could also cause vZome to exhaust the memory available. There may still be a form of this bug present when the new tools are used in the presence of groups.

Known Bugs

quaternion projections - with the removal of the hidden symmetry axis, it is no longer possible to project a 4D polytope using a quaternion rotation

arbitrary strut lengths - the new strut length panel does not yet support lengths that are not simple powers of tau

H_4 symmetry - you'll probably have trouble if you try to construct a strut between vertices generated by H_4 symmetry.

Zomod import - does anyone still care?
